The article was entitled " The Enchantment of a Cottagecore Summer". It painted a poetic picture of dreamy woodland picnics, linen sundresses that caress your ankles in the warm breeze, soul-nourishing meals lovingly prepared with homegrown food, and the artistry and fulfillment produced by simply slowing down.
It awakened a deep longing in my spirit to create something beautiful;
something to be shared.
I started by building a farm table out of raw, live-edge wood, thrifting pretty vintage plates and glassware, and dreaming up a scrumptious seasonal menu. Invitations went out to a handful of close girlfriends, who were all encouraged to dress in the colors of the evening's palette.
Nearly two years and a substantial collection of colorful plate and glasses later, after many lingering, heartfelt conversations over delicious food, wine and drippy candles, the Solstice Supper Club was born.

"...to live on and be listless, taking no interest in one's surroundings, having no part in one's rich inheritance of appreciation for all things beautiful in nature and art and human companionship, and everything, in fact, that life has to offer..I could bear any deprivation, any grief, except that grief; for indifference means paralysis of the soul, and I should dread that illness beyond any other."
